An Iconic Trail Running Experience On May 23rd, runners will take on one of Ireland’s most dramatic and unforgettable landscapes at Sliabh Liag, Donegal.

Towering sea cliffs, sweeping Atlantic views and rugged mountain trails combine to create a race experience that is as rewarding as it is challenging. This event is about more than distance or finish times. It’s about moving through wild terrain, feeling the elements, and sharing the trail with runners who value adventure, resilience and community. With a looped course format, excellent event support and distances to suit a range of abilities, Sliabh Liag is the perfect place to test yourself — whether it’s your first trail race or your next big endurance goal.

Whether you’re running one loop or four, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

Race Categories

13K - 1 Loop

Starts - 8am
Choose how far you want to push yourself — all races take place on the same stunning looped course.

25km – 2 Loops

Starts - 9am
A demanding middle-distance option that rewards smart pacing and consistency. A great step up for runners with some trail or longer-distance experience.

50km – 4 Loops

Starts - 10am
A true ultra-distance challenge. Repeated loops bring familiarity, support and strategy into play, while the terrain and elevation ensure this remains a serious test of endurance and mental strength.

Food / Refreshments

Tea / Coffees, food will be available to purchase from the Visitors centre, Ti Linn cafe, and Rusty Mackerel pub all adjacent to the finish area.

Footwear

Trail Running shoes with good cushioning / or hiking boots, walking shoes if you are hiking - walking event. Terrain is tarred road, gravel tracks, soft ground- potentially muddy if wet, some scrambling along larger rocks & stone steps.
